Custom
Adventure Programs
KB
Mountain Adventures offers both Family
Custom Programs as well as Group
Custom Programs at the Ranch, any time of year, depending on
your interests.
Family
Programs are tailored to allow Mom and Dad to enjoy the full
range of our activities with older children,
while
children as young as 6 (or the entire family) can go trout fishing,
enjoy nature hikes, learn to shoot a bow and arrow or
build a fire and meet the horses in the corral.
Group
Programs allow business executives, those interested
in advanced activities, school, church, and similar groups
of up to 16 members to join KB Mountain Adventures to get away from
the routine. They can provide team-building and leadership-training
components which will allow you an opportunity to choose the members
of your group, your activities and your degree of difficulty.
Adventure
Specialists Living primarily in their solar powered, wood
stove-heated 1876 log cabin office at Bear Basin Ranch,
co-directors
Gary and Amy have been running custom adventure travel operations
since 1970. On remote alpine trails in the Sangre de Cristo Wilderness,
you will explore wildlife-filled valleys on Colorado's best mountain
trained horses. Camps are comfortable with nearly gourmet meals.
Their wrangler guides are educated, dedicated world experienced
leaders who know the local history, flora and geology
and will gladly share their knowledge with you around the campfire.
You can mountain bike, climb and hike as well -
it's up to you!
Bear
Basin Packtrips loves to to put together interesting combination
activity trips and can arrange for inexpensive, participatory trips
for large groups - whether they be friends, students, or organizations.
Their Outfitters camp can accommodate up to 50 people, and your
group can be split into small teams for activities like horseback
riding, biking, climbing, hiking, rafting, kayaking, duckying or
any combination thereof. Bear Basin's staff are also adept in and have
experience developing programs that can focus on teaching skills
like wilderness survival or outdoor recreation, wilderness respect and
'leave-no-trace' principles, or local geology, flora and history.
Contact them today to discuss your
needs and let them work with you to craft a custom package that meets
your goals and expectations.
